Practically perfect

When we introduced the EVO valve in 2001, it was clear from the start that our design represented a break with the past.

A new concept of a filling valve with an internal profile that was absolutely unprecedented until that time.

The results of that work soon materialized with BORELLI group’s filling machines and monoblocks winning new customers and new markets again and again.

To date, there are more than 1,200 machines equipped with EVO valves.

However, at BORELLI group we are not used to stopping and our research continues day by day.

The considerable number of machines produced each year allows us to have the right feedback for continuous product improvement.

We are used to not underestimating problems. A problem, even if it occurs only once and on one machine, is still a problem and deserves to be addressed by finding a solution.

In this way we can ensure that the product is continuously updated through continuous interaction with our customers.

And it is with this philosophy that the EVO valve has been constantly improved over time.

Today, from the synthesis of years of experience gained on more than 1,200 machines produced with the EVO valve, we are offering the second series, the EVO2, full of new technological content.

No threads in contact with liquid

To facilitate the sanitization of the machine as much as technically possible, we have eliminated any threads in direct contact with the liquid.

Only a small weld made with tig technology and perfectly polished appears.

The wide passages and the meticulous finish of the machining allow for easy sanitization of the valve.

It is hard to imagine anything better.

Adaptable to any filling system

Gravity, low vacuum, high vacuum or low pressure: the EVO2 valve does its job perfectly by adapting to all filling systems, with perfect levels in the bottle without the aid of external levelers.

High performance

The new internal profile, the result of long and demanding design work, allows high productivity of the filling valve.

With this innovative valve, productions of 1,600 liters/hour (1) can be achieved with a 10-valve filler with 15 mm external section (standard valve for glass bottles).

This performance is also achieved with the gravity system, which is slower, but more suitable for filling wines and spirits, since it does not expose the liquid to contaminated air flows and does not cause alcohol and fragrance dispersion unavoidable with the vacuum system.

Self-leveling

The air return hole is located below the slide, so in the absence of the bottle, the valve is totally closed.

Besides the undoubted advantage of preventing possible oxidation of the filling liquid, this expedient ensures perfect levels without the aid of external levelers.

1. New quick valve connection

on the tank with a bayonet system.

Particularly useful in cases where frequent valve replacement is necessary to adapt the machine to particular bottle sizes such as, for example, mignons.

In addition, this solution facilitates cleaning, sanitization and maintenance of the valve.

2. New inverted valve body

to promote the complete outflow of the liquid being flushed.

3. Forced opening system

For pre- and post-bottling washing, the valve is equipped with a system of forced opening by means of a simple clip to be affixed to the appropriate rod.

This very simple solution allows the effective use of steam during sterilization and is also very useful in post-bottling in order to keep the valve open allowing perfect drying.

The system can also be expanded with the washing kit (1), which consists of auxiliary piping, special stainless steel spheres mounted inside the tank, cups for internal and external washing of the valve and liquid recovery tray placed stably on the inside of the base.

The whole is provided for the possible application of a CIP system (2).

4. New valve body profile

The renewed profile made it possible to introduce a technopolymer bushing between the valve body and the slide.

With this expedient we have permanently solved the problem of possible grip typical of stainless steel sliding on stainless steel.

The special positioning of this bushing also excludes any possibility of it coming into contact with the filling liquid even if the internal gasket breaks.

5. External guide on self-lubricating bushing

We also introduced an outer guide to the body that works on a self-lubricating bushing.

This seemingly superfluous expedient allowed us to maintain greater mechanical tolerance in the inner guide, the one between the valve body and the slide, to the benefit of greater wear resistance and better overall mechanics of the entire valve.

6. New tip profile

The reworked technical design maximizes liquid passage while the deaeration tube enlarged to 8 mm ensures excellent performance even with particularly foamy wines or liquids.

7. New gasket on valve tip

The new seal improves the descent of liquid onto the bottle wall and consequently the outflow of air to the outside, significantly increasing valve performance.

It also features an improved profile and consistency such that it ensures long life even under critical working conditions such as the use of steam or acids for sterilization or in hot bottling.
